Song by Fridley's Luke 'Mippey5' Thompson To Be Featured on 'Young Hollywood Awards'

The introduction to the show will include one of the YouTube music-spoofer's tunes, he said on Facebook.

You now have a Fridley reason to watch the 15th annual "Young Hollywood Awards" on the CW network Thursday night.

Luke "Mippey5" Thompson, the Fridley-based YouTube music-video parody master behind "Minnesota Gurls" and other songs, will have a song at the start of the show, he announced at 2:15 a.m. Thursday on the "Mippey5 on YouTube" Facebook page

"Big announcement. Mippey5 was asked by the Young Hollywood Awards for permission to use one of our songs to introduce the show. Some of us are now currently driving to LA to watch the show in person and eat fine cheeses with Selena Gomez, Austin Mahone, Cody Simpson and other cool people. Look for us on the CW at 7pm tomorrow, August 1st. A Mippey5 song just may be kicking off the show"
