Fridley Resident Found Shot Dead in His Car in New Hope

Kent Lee Walker, Jr. died of 'multiple gunshot wounds,' the Hennepin County Medical Examiner said.

Someone killed Fridley resident Kent Lee Walker, Jr., 59, Thursday in New Hope, according to media reports and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

His body was found in his car in a parking lot near the place where he had attended an AA meeting according to the Star Tribune, which reported that Walker rented a room from Bill Andrews at Fridley Terrace manufactured-home park:

“He would just mind his own business,” said Andrews. ... Walker had been living on disability checks since a serious stroke six or seven years ago, he said, and had trouble walking.

“He wouldn’t hurt a fly,” said Andrews. “Maybe some crazy person did this. Maybe he got in the way of something.”
