City Council to Consider New $58,000 Document-storage System

Laserfiche, used by 70 percent of local governments, would replace decade-old Docuware imaging system.

The Fridley City Council will consider whether to spend more than $58,000 on a new imaging system for storing and retrieving documents digitally at its regular meeting Monday night.

City staff has recommended switching from the city's current Docuware system, in place for a decade, to Laserfiche, an imaging system used by 70 percent of local governments.

Other items on the agenda include a resolution declaring July 1, 2012, as Women of Today Founder's Day; and a list of election judges for the council to approve.

The regular meeting time is 7:30 p.m., in council chambers at . The council will convene at 6:15 p.m. for a special conference meeting in Conference Room A at City Hall to interview applicants for city commissions. Both meetings are open to the public.
