Thanks for a job well done Mr. Nagel. I love reading about the happenings in Geneva. The Patch keeps me current and I enjoy sharing the local news with co-workers and family members. Mr. Ward is quite a good source for laughter since he sometimes fearlessly manages to barrel through sensitive subjects. Keep up the good work!

"we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism" WHAT A JOKE THIS STATEMENT IS. Patch has published and republished opinions as news that are clearly political endorsements of a single candidate. Patch has not officially endorsed any candidate that I can see, and its clearly biased opinews makes it less valuable and almost irrelevant. How pathetic to claim journalistic ethics but at least other journalism in the are is up front with what they are doing and publish their opinions ONLY as editorials and do force them to the top as news.....what a joke.

SPRINT marketed wireless HotSPot service for $59 a month, and earned my business with that offer. It required a 2 year contract, which I signed. 1/2 way into the contract, SPRINT changed the terms, unilaterally, and is now charging consumers excess usage charges. For me, it amounted to $200 in one month - for the State of Illinois, it could have brought in an additional $211,920,000 in exess profits, just by altering the contractual terms of existing unsuspecting customers through monopolistic pricing power achieved by a long term contract lock in. This should be investigated and justice should be sought from SPRINT for this bait and switch tactic employed to entice consumers and then alter the terms of a contract midway into a contract.
Perhaps Rick Nagel can investigate and write about the ethics of such corporate behavior. It certainly creates massive profits for SPRINT to decieve consumers and then change the terms once someone is locked in... but is it legal, and is it fair? Are there other wireless carriers to switch to other than SPRINT?
I have aksed Lisa Madigan to look into this, as well as the FCC.I am interested in this is an issue to anyone else - it is a huge issue of deceipt and deceptive practices in my opinion.

"be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know."
So I let you know, now what? Can we expect more unfounded personal attacks? I see you remove this type of thing in the comments section but Jeff's attack will live on forever.
Page hits are key to your business, I get that but what value are they if the patch is put in a negative light?
