I like to think of myself as an average person, just living an average life. I'm married with children, have an average house with a mortgage (and all the bills and trappings that go along with it). I have average skills in most things, but am not particularly gifted in any one thing.  I, like many of you, juggle the modern day life with obligations, personal interests and attempt to top it off with a healthy dash of fun every now and then. 

But really, this average life of mine is quite charmed.  The older I get, the more I realize how good I’ve got it.  I feel grateful to live in a country that allows me to be anything I want to be, and in a City that truly has that elusive, but powerful thing called community. 

I’m a fairly eclectic person, so I imagine my writings will be too. I don’t intend to give out advice, or share particularly insightful thoughts. But I do enjoy writing and living well and I think blogging is a lucky way I get to do both.
