Hyde Park, a Fridley neighborhood of slightly more than a dozen blocks, is in the spotlight recently—thanks to several separate city initiatives: rebuilding beat-up roads, rewriting zoning rules and creating a transit-oriented development district around the Northstar Commuter Rail station. Community Development Director Scott Hickok said it's a coincidence of timing that zoning initatives and road projects affecting one neighborhood have come before city government in recent weeks.
