Documentary in Works on Spring Lake Park Man Killed in Mpls. Workplace Shooting
Keith Basinski died Sept. 27 while making a stop as a UPS driver at Accent Signage. Local filmmaker Deacon Warner is paying homage to him in a new documentary, the Southwest Journal reports.
It's been less than three weeks since Spring Lake Park resident Keith Basinski died in the mass workplace shooting at Accent Signage in Minneapolis while he made a stop as on his route as the neighborhood's UPS delivery driver. Service for UPS driver killed in Minneapolis shootings is at Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park. A Teamster spokesperson called his death unprecedented.
The funeral for Keith Basinski of Spring Lake Park, the UPS driver shot and killed at Access Signage on Sept. 27 in Minneapolis, is set for 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Emmanuel Christian Center in Spring Lake Park. Visitation is at the church from 1–2 p.m., immediately before the funeral service. The burial ceremony is at Hillside Cemetery, 2610 19th Ave. NE, Minneapolis, at 4:45 p.m. A memorial fund for Basinski's family has been established at First Advantage Bank, Coon Rapids. Basinksi's union has also set up a memorial fund. 'Doing His Job' "We feel a responsibility to our family," said Edward Reynoso of the Teamsters Joint Council 32. I am so shocked. I was one of the last people to talk to Keith before this happened. I work at Hirshfield's. Keith has been our driver most of the 26 years I have worked there. I would see him twice a day, deliveries in the morning and pick ups in the afternoon. Many days we are shipping enough that it take 5-10 minutes to help load his truck and we would talk about our kids, vacations, etc. Our … more ›
