Fridley's 'Jane Doe' Faces Wisconsin Charges Too

Prosecutors say Tammy Thomas stole SUV and debit card to shop at Wal-Mart in Tomah, WI. She makes her first court appearance related to those charges Thursday in Anoka.

The defendant formerly known as Jane Doe—who for weeks wouldn't give her fingerprints or show a jail photographer her face—has a Wednesday court date related to crimes that prosecutors say she committed in Wisconsin before setting up housekeeping in a vacant Fridley residence. MAP: See the Route Police Think 'Jane Doe' Took from SE Wisconsin to Fridley

Stolen SUV and IDs suggest she traveled on I-90 and I-94 to reach the Twin Cities, they say.

This is the route that police say "Jane Doe" likely took from Lake Geneva, WI (site of a stolen SUV) to Fridley, MN (site of her arrest Monday). They say surveillance video shows her using other people's credit cards in the Wisconsin cities of Baraboo and Tomah—tracing a route along Interstates 90 and 94 that ends in the Twin Cites.  Fridley police have circulated to Chicago-area law enforcement a photo of "Jane Doe"—not a good one, Lt. Mike Monsrud said, but the best they could get. She hasn't allowed her Anoka County jailers to take a booking photo. See that photo of "Jane Doe," which Fridley police released Friday morning. See the story of "Jane Doe" as it broke on Thursday at Fridley Patch.
