Order Pizza with a Topping of Fire Prevention

Order a pizza from the Fridley Domino's Monday or Wednesday, Oct. 8 or 10, 5–8 p.m., and a Fridley Fire Department truck might pull up to your door with a hot pie. Fire fighters will check your home's smoke detectors and if all are working fine, you get your pizza free. If they find one that's not working, they'll replace the batteries or put in a new alarm. It's all part of Fire Prevention Week, which started in Fridley with the annual open house at Fire Station No. 1 at Fridley City Hall on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Battery with Your Pepperoni? Fridley Fire Trucks Delivering Domino's Pizzas to Check Smoke Alarms

The unusual delivery on Oct. 8 and 10 will highlight Fire Prevention Week.

If they had to, these pizza-delivery guys and gals could get it to you fast. Order a pizza from the Fridley Domino's next Monday or Wednesday, 5–8 p.m., and a Fridley Fire Department truck might pull up to your door with a hot pie. Fire fighters will check your home's smoke detectors and if all are working fine, you get your pizza free. If they find one that's not working, they'll replace the batteries or put in a new alarm. It's all part of Fire Prevention Week, which officially runs Oct. 7–13, 2012, but starts a day early in Fridley with the annual open house at Fire Station No. 1 at Fridley City Hall on Saturday, Oct. 6, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
