Fridley YouTube maestro Luke "Mippey5" Thompson has struck again with a popular Minnesota-themed music-video parody. Minnesota Style, a takeoff on the viral Korean Gangnam Style rap video, has had 115,000 views on YouTube in the five days since Thompson posted it Sept. 18, 2012. (The original Gangnam Style YouTube video is not doing too shabby, with 263 million views in two months.) Thompson, known on YouTube as Mippey5, includes a snippet of his 2010 Minnesota Gurls Katy Perry parody song that went viral (2.2 million views and counting) and put Thompson—and Fridley—on the YouTube map.
