Three reports of counterfeit bills in one day.
UPDATED (see below): Fridley Police received three reports of people presenting or passing counterfeit bills on Saturday, according to Don Abbott, the city's director of public safety. Police have not made any arrests, Abbott said by email Friday afternoon. But he added that his department and New Brighton police "are following leads and we could categorize the investigation as active." KSTP-TV reported Monday that garage sale customers tried to use fake $20 bills in Fridley and New Brighton over the weekend.
