Fridley Namesake's Photo Has Its Day on the 'Net
The Minnesota Historical Society made an 1848 daguerrotype of Abram Fridley its 'Item of the Day.'
An 1848 photographic portrait of the man whose name the city of Fridley took as its own was the featured "Item of the Day" at the Minnesota Historical Society's website Tuesday. The daguerrotype image is 4-1/4" in height by 3-1/4" in width, plus a fancy decorative cover.
