Fridley Native Paul Aasen Brings Experience with Tornado, Jesse Ventura to Top MInneapolis Job

Fridley native Paul Aasen, Minneapolis' new city coordinator, talks about his Fridley roots and his time as commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

Paul Aasen came up through the Fridley School District—attending Hayes Elementary School as well as Fridley Middle School and Fridley High School—recently accepted the post of Minneapolis city coordinator. Aasen left his job as commissioner of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) to accept the position. In this interview with Fridley Patch, he talks about the priorities of the MPCA, his childhood growing up in Fridley and how living through the big Fridley tornado affected his professional career.
