UPDATED: Person Survives Jump from Main Street Bridge onto I-694 in Fridley
Person who jumped from overpass onto interstate suffered "non-life-threatening" injuries.
Update (7:10 p.m. Saturday): Authorities expect a person who jumped from the Main Street NE overpass in Fridley onto westbound I-694 Saturday to live. The person who jumped sustained "non-life-threatening injuries," according to Lt. Eric Roeske of the Minnesota State Patrol. Roeske said the person was taken to a hospital. He did not have further information about the person or the incident, including whether a vehicle that appeared to have been towed from the scene was involved. Update (5:50 p.m. Saturday): The Minnesota State Patrol has cleared the scene where a person jumped from the Main Street NE bridge in Fridley onto the westbound lanes of I-694.
