John Kriesel: 'I Would Never Rule Out a Run for Governor'

He's the new Anoka County Veteran Services Director and a retiring state rep.

John Kriesel may be Anoka County's new veteran services director, but the retiring Republican state representative from Cottage Grove is not saying never to a job higher up in state government: governor. Rep. John Kriesel to Head Anoka County Veterans Services

The popular GOP lawmaker, an Iraq War veteran, is leaving Legislature.

Anoka County spokeswoman Martha Weaver said Tuesday morning, "We are thrilled that Mr. Kriesel will be joining us in service to our veterans." She confirmed it is a full time job. The county's previous veterans services director resigned, she said by email. What do you know about John Kriesel?
