Basically what you learn at the fair is that all of your neighbors could be cancer survivors, dead from cancer or living with cancer including your wife. Your firstborn is born with single-sided hearing and the guy who built your house died in it from cancer . This is normal.   more ›

Our 21 year old daughter grew up in the cluster in Fridley. She now has Stage 3C invasive Ovarian Cancer. Of 7 tumores that were removed 2 were 17cm or each near the size of volleyballs. Besides giving her a 24-50% chance of living 5 years she is the youngest patient the doctors have ever had by 20 years with this type of cancer. We no longer live in Fridley. Fridley Cancer Cluster Facebook Group Barred from Health Fair

All individuals are welcome at Wednesday event at Fridley Community Center.

At Wednesday’s public health fair, Fridley residents will be able to pose questions about the city’s water testing, Superfund sites and cancer rates. Officials from a variety of organizations—including the City of Fridley, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPS) and the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute in Fridley—will be sitting at tables, answering questions. But one group that will not have an information booth is the Fridley Cancer Cluster. For Fridley Health Fair, Cancer Cluster Facebook Group's Invite Is Up in Air

State and city agencies can't agree on what role the Fridley Cancer Cluster Facebook group will be allowed to play at next Wednesday's "health fair."

Debate is raging about whether to allow members of the Fridley Cancer Cluster Facebook group to set up camp at a public "health fair" scheduled for next Wednesday in which Fridley residents will be able to pose questions about the city’s water testing, Superfund sites and cancer rates. During the fair, which will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fridley Community Center Gymnasium, officials from the City of Fridley, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will be available to speak one-on-one with members of the public.
