WHO IS IT? Video Shows Strong-Arm Robbery at Coon Rapids Kay Jewelry, Sheriff Says

Watch this clip from surveillance video during what authorities say was a strong-arm robbery Sunday at the Kay Jewelry store at Coon Rapids' Riverdale Mall, about eight miles northwest of Fridley. Recognize anyone? The Anoka County Sheriff's Office released the video Wednesday in hopes that someone will see it and have information to help identify the suspect. Reported missing: a $10,000 diamond ring, according to an earlier statement Monday from the sheriff's office that also included still images from the surveillance video. That valuation has increased, the Star Tribune reported: The value of the ring, with a 1.6-carat Leo diamond, is more than $15,000. Fridley Woman's Diamond Wedding Ring Lost and Found at Corn Maze

It wasn't a needle in a haystack, but a ring in a corn pit might be just as challenging to find, KARE11 reported.

Karilyn Milller of Fridley lost—and more surprisingly, found—her diamond wedding ring in a pit of corn kernels at the Twin Cities Harvest Festival and Maze in Brooklyn Park, KARE11 reported Sunday. "I said, the sign says you should take off all jewelry and empty your pockets," said Karilyn's husband Jon, who had recently upgraded the diamond in the ring. "She said, that's a good idea." The attraction has a sign posted warning of the danger of losing rings: FYI: The starch in the corn makes rings slip off of fingers very easily, so please be careful not to lose any jewelry in the corn pit.
