The season came to an abrupt end for the boys basketball team at Spring Lake Park High School Friday night when the DeLaSalle Islanders defeated the Panthers 62-52 in the Section 3AAA final.

Spring Lake Park's Sean Scott, a senior, has already set the all-time school scoring record, according to the school's website: Sean Scott became the SLP boys’ basketball all-time leading career scorer on Friday, March 2 at North Branch High School. Sean surpasses Sean Jensen's record of 1341 pts. With his 21 points on Friday evening, Sean is at 1343 pts. and counting.
