Players Change into Tennis Togs at Park: Fridley Police Blotter

The athletes' wardrobe malpractice drew a complaint.

Fridley police received a complaint Sept. 29, 2011, about an ongoing problem involving two males who change clothes at Briardale Park before playing tennis. An officer found the two players, who said they work nearby and change clothes in their cars but do not remove their underwear. He was in the vicinity of Target Distribution.

Police found an intoxicated person who had been reported on May 8 as lurking in the area of Target Distribution, 1090 73rd Ave. NE. They brought him home, where his elderly mother took responsibility for him. Jeans Missing After Stay with Friend: Fridley Police Blotter

An April 27 caller in the 5400 block of Seventh Street NE said his jeans were stolen from his bag after he stayed with a friend at the friend's apartment. The friend denied committing the theft. Paperclip Wouldn't Let Anyone In: Fridley Police Blotter

The knob also felt loose.

A resident reported that she found a paperclip hanging on the doorknob of her apartment in the 7800 block of East River Road. The knob felt loose, and she had notified management. Police determined there was no way an intruder could gain entry to the apartment with the paperclip.
