Fridley's Colter Allen Named to StarTribune's Athletes of the Week
The FHS junior was featured in the newspaper's list of seven high school athletes.
Fridley High School junion Colter Allen is featured in the Star Tribune's Athletes of the Week column Tuesday. Allen was named swimmer of the year by coaches in Section 4, Class 1A, the Star Tribune reported. He won the 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle races. But Allen has his sights set on the boys swim and dive state tournament, which starts Thursday. "The real goal is to win state," he told the newspaper. Allen also gave props to teammate Alex Ambuhl, who won the 50 and 100 freestyles. They swam together on the FHS teams that won the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.
