How to Post Your Opinion as a Blog Post

Your first post at Fridley Patch is only a couple clicks away.

There is an easy way to post your opinion or your favorite photo at Fridley Patch: start a blog.  All you have to do is click on the "Want to Blog on Patch?" button on our main page. From there you click the "Post on Patch" button and get started. Tony Huber did it. He first posted an open letter to the Fridley City Council on the Fridley Patch Facebook page. Then he took that same statement, started a Fridley Patch blog, and made it his first blog post. You can post to your blog one time ever or once a week or whenever you want to. It's up to you. A blog post can be a photo, an opinion, a video, an announcement, or simply something that crossed your mind that you'd like to share with the community.

Moms Talk: Do You Have A Guilty Mother's Day Secret?

Is it wrong that on Mother's Day I sort of want to run away from the kids?

Mother's Day is coming up on Sunday, and just like every year since I gave birth, I'm filled with the tiniest sense of dread.  I know full well that my family loves me, and I most definitely don't need a special day for them to show me that fact. I see it every time my daughter's eyes light up when I go to wake her up in the morning and we have a moment of snuggling together in her bed, or in that grin that takes over my five-month-old son's entire face when he sees me after daycare in the evenings. Still, I know that it's important for everyone to be able to participate in showing me that I matter to them, regardless of what sort of emotional toil and fallout may occur in the display.
