This article focuses on Jack Jablonski, a Benilde-St. Margaret's School (BSM) hockey player who was injured in an on-ice incident in December 2011. The Tigers came very close, dropping Tuesday's game by 2 points to Benilde-St. Margaret's.
The Fridley High School boys varsity basketball team might have three more wins this season if things had gone just a little differently. Tuesday night on the road at Benilde-St. Margaret's High School, the Tigers were within one basket, losing 49-47. Two other games this season have seen heartbreaking losses by razor-thin margins: St. Francis (58-57) and Highland Park (84-82 in overtime). Related:

The Spring Lake Park High School boys basketball team, ranked No. 2 in the state's Class 3A on Feb. 1, has since lost three straight games. On Monday, the Panthers lost in overtime to Irondale 104-101, according to MN Basketball Hub. On Saturday, it was Centennial with a 71-66 win over SLP, according to the Minnesota State High School League. And on Friday, in a closely watched matchup, the Panthers suffered a final-seconds defeat to top-ranked Benilde-St. Margaret's 67-65, as reported by the Star Tribune, with senior Sean Scott scoring 36 points. Fridley school finds common cause with St. Louis Park rival.
Totino-Grace High School was a sea of red and white Monday as students dressed to show support for Jack Jablonski, the Benilde-St. Margaret's High School junior varsity hockey player who was paralyzed by a hit in a game on Dec. 30. The school raised nearly $4,500 toward the Jablonski family's medical expenses, according to the Totino-Grace website. The Totino-Grace High School girls soccer team lost 3-0 to Benilde-St. Margaret’s on Monday in the Class A state quarterfinal at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The loss means the Eagles (14-5-2) will face Rochester Lourdes in the third-place game, which is set for Tuesday at 8 a.m. T-G entered the game as the fourth seed in the tournament against the top-seeded Red Knights (18-0-3), and both teams remained scoreless until the 10:11 mark of the first half when BSM’s Dana Buckhorn found the net. The Spring Lake Park High School Panthers football shut out Benilde-St. Margaret's at Spring Lake Park Saturday by a final score of 28-0. The Panthers controlled the ball with three interceptions and a good running game. Spring Lake Park (5-1-0) plays next against Robbinsdale Cooper (3-3-0) Oct. 14. The game marked the 20th anniversary of Spring Lake Park's 1991 state football championship.

BSM trounced the Tigers 11-0.
The Benilde-St. Margaret's Red Knights girls soccer team proved their powerhouse status by beating the Fridley High School Tigers 11-0 Thursday evening in St. Louis Park. The Red Knights kept the pressure on the Tigers the entire game. Fridley hosts Chisago Lakes Area next Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Fridley High School.

Thanks for the great photos also. I tell young people at church often that I saw a photo of them on Patch. I'd like to see some indoor sports like something from the exciting volleyball match taking place this Thursday at Fridley where Fridley meets TG .
