Bill and Jimmy Nicklow first opened Shorewood in 1971 and quickly expanded to the metro area in the 80s and 90s. The brothers' success brought about an early retirement and another restaurant took over the Moore Lake location. The other restaurant failed in a couple years, giving the land owner Jimmy Nicklow a chance to re-open Shorewood. After building renovations and menu alterations, Shorewood opened its doors near the end of 2009. Shorewood has live music, a bar selection including Greek wines and home-brewed vodka and an outdoor seating area facing Moore Lake.
