Waffle Breakfast Fundraiser for Fridley Fire Department Set Saturday Morning


The Fridley Fire Department Flames Auxiliary will hold its 5th annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle Breakfast from 8 a.m to noon Saturday (Sept. 21) at Fridley Fire Station # 1,  6431 University Ave., N.E.  

The breakfast features hot and fresh Dad’s Belgian waffles, sausage, flavored syrups and beverages.  Cost of the breakfast for people age 6 and older is $6 payable at the door.  Kids age 5 and under get to eat free if accompanied by a paying adult.

The Flames will also present their popular “Firehouse Goodies” Craft and Bake Sale during the breakfast.

This annual event is sponsored by the Fridley Fire Department Flames Auxiliary to benefit the Fire Department, the Flames Scholarship Fund and other community events, which Flames members conduct or participate in during the year. 

The fire station is located on the east service road for northbound University Avenue, N.E./Minnesota Hwy 47 about one mile north of I-694 between 61st Avenue, N.E. and Mississippi Street, N.E.
