Dog Park in Fridley Sending Team to 'Walk for Animals'

Dog owners at Locke County Park raising funds for Animal Humane Society.

The dog park at in Fridley will field a team at the Animal Humane Society's Walk for Animals on Saturday.

So far the 12 members of the "Locke Paws" team have raised $3,160.55—the sixth highest sum from any team, according to the Animal Humane Society.

Walk for Animals 2012, an annual event, is set to start at 10 a.m. at the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley. To see what last year's event was like, check out the short video uploaded to this post.

The Fridley dog park is the only one in Anoka County. Last year the county within Locke County Park. You can follow the activities and interests of people who support the dog park by visiting the Fridley Dog Park Facebook page.
