Sports Trifecta Could Mean Traffic Snarls in Downtown Minneapolis

Roads into and around Minneapolis could be clogged Thursday afternoon as fans head for games at the Metrodome, Target Field and TCF Bank Stadium.

If you're headed into Minneapolis for a sports event (or really any other reason) Thursday, a word to the wise: Watch out for possible traffic congestion due to three sporting events:

Twins vs. Royals at Target Field, 12:10 p.m.

Golden Gophers vs. UNLV at TCF Stadium, 6 p.m.

Vikings vs. Titans at the Metrodome, 7 p.m.  (streets in the immediate area of the Metrodome are closed from 5 p.m. until two hours after the game ends)
