It’s Minnesota History Day at the Minnesota State Fair on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, and those who finish the Minnesota History Walking and Cell Phone tour will receive a free commemorative poster created by Minnesota artist Joe Heffron. In Carousel Park, the Minnesota Historical society will be presenting history-themed entertainment throughout the day, including trivia, theater performances and live music.
Check out the Education Building for local winners in competition categories such as Grade 12 painting (Christine Wilda of Fridley), mosaics (Lindsey Kusterman of Totino-Grace High School), and Grade 10 pencil drawing (Jackie Anderson of Columbia Heights High School).
