A Clown Named Mango and Old-Style Baseball at Fridley History Center's August-Fest

The evening festival will be held at 6 p.m. on August 13.

The Fridley History Center is ramping up plans for AugustFest.

The annual evening festival will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 13, at the center’s 611 Mississippi St. location.

Here’s what the center had to say about the festival in their July/August newsletter:

Plan to come Monday, August 13, 6:00 p.m. Enjoy entertainment and fun for everyone. Hear the Fridley Band play toe-tapping music, meet the new Fridley royalty and see an old-style ball game with the Quick Steps. The kids can check out a fire truck and meet Mango the clown. Delicious Chicago hot dogs, chips, pop and water will be for sale.

Activities will be in our parking lot. Parking will be available at Hayes School. Bring a chair for a comfortable seat. Refreshments will be served in the History Center after the game.
