Two Fridley High School Wrestlers Advance to State

Fridley's Patrick Faber and Justin May won individual spots at the state high school wrestling tournament.

Fridley High School will send two wrestlers to the state tournament as individual competitors, coach Eric Anderson reports.

Patrick Faber and Justin May each earned a second-place spot in their respective weight classes at the Section 5AA individual tournament Saturday, Anderson said in an email. Many others on the team also placed in the competition:

Max Fite, fourth place, 112-pound weight class
Tianchie Allen, fifth place, 119-pound weight class
Justin May: second place, 125-pound weight class
Tyler Ritchie, fifth place, 130-pound weight class
Bobby Simmons, fourth place, 135-pound weight class
Kezelee Flomo, fifth place, 145-pound weight class
Nick Carlson, third place, 160-pound weight class
Patrick Faber, second place, 171-pound weight class
Jesse Root, fourth place, 189-pound weight class
Marquise Rolbliecki, fifth place, 215-pound weight class
Ivan Guernsey, fourth place, 285-pound weight class
