Totino-Grace Tops Spring Lake Park 1-0 in Baseball Opener

The boy’s baseball team scored one run in the seventh inning against Spring Lake Park High School to start of the season opener for both teams.

Spring Lake Park pitcher Jake Matthys (#23) went to the mound to start what became a battle of the pitchers, with Matthys and Totino-Grace's Benjamin Meyer pitching a zero-scoring game until the top of the seventh inning, when Dan Hick's (#9) two-base run allowed Totino-Grace's Ben Larson (#11) to run home for the only score of the game.

Totino-Grace takes its 1-0 record to its second game at home against on April 12 at 4:15 p.m.

Spring Lake Park takes its 0-1 record to its second game at home against West Lutheran on April 9 at 1 p.m.
