Lady Tigers fell a few points short of extending their season to the state tournament Saturday night with a loss to Maple Lake in the Section 5AA final at Rockford High School.
In what one fan called a "very exciting match," the Lady Tigers won and lost what ended up being the last two games of their 2011 season by scores of 25-23.

The Lady Tigers wowed their opponents, leading the Zimmerman coach to declare after Thursday's game, "This is their year."
