Fridley Man Ends Hockey Odyssey Back Home

Jeff Keacher played hockey in every state and Canadian province.

The with the goal of playing hockey in every American state and Canadian province is coming home Sunday with one last state to check off: Minnesota.

"It was the trip of a lifetime," Jeff Keacher told the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Saturday. "I got to do what other people might only dream about."

At his blog, stoppingineverystate.com, Keacher posted a map with every state and province in blue but Minnesota in red, writing:

Isn’t that a thing of beauty? Minnesota is the only state I have yet to play hockey in on the trip. Sure, I’ve played there numerous times in the past, most recently on June 17, 2011, but those sessions were from before I embarked on my grand tour. For the trip to conclude, I have to play there once more before the end of the year.

His Sunday morning tweet: "Last day of driving. Minnesota, here I come!"
