Fridley Ends Run at Gopher Classic Baseball Tourney
The Fridley American Legion baseball team finished the weekend with a 3-2 record.
The Fridley American Legion baseball team finished up play at the Gopher Classic on Sunday at Bloomington’s Red Haddox Field.
Fridley finished the tournament with a 3-2 record. Eastview won the tournament with a perfect 5-0 record and advanced to Monday’s round of 16. The Thunder will play Monday against Manitoba in Bloomington.
, but rebounded Friday afternoon with a 5-4 win over Gillette, WY.

On Saturday, Fridley lost to Bloomington Gold 6-4 but again bounced back. Fridley beat Sartell 6-5 to even its record at 2-2 heading into Sunday’s final game.
On Sunday, Fridley defeated Plymouth, IN, by an 8-6 margin to secure a winning record at the tournament.
