Arctic explorer Lonnie Dupre - Ramsey Environmental Expo

The 2011 Environmental Expo & Tree Sale will be held on Saturday, April 30 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, located at 7550 Sunwood Dr NW.  The event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The Environmental Expo & Tree Sale is a FREE event to attend and will inlcude lots of fun and interesting exhibits and information.

Arctic explorer Lonnie Dupre will be the keynote speaker for the Environmental Expo this year!  He is one of only sixteen (16) people to ever attempt a solo climb on Mt. More information about his various arctic adventures can be found at www.lonniedupre.com.

There will be a number of exhibitors and displays focusing on a wide range of environmental topics. Past exhibitors have included the U of MN Raptor Center, the Herpetological Society of MN, Anoka Conservation District, the Oliver Kelly Farm, Connexus Energy, ACE Solid Waste, and many more.

In addition to Lonnie Dupre's presentation, the Environmental Expo will also feature several other presentations that focus on certain aspects of the environment. There is no cost to attend these educational presentations and at the end of each presentation, attendees have a chance of winning a shade tree! Presentations will be ongoing throughout the event so make sure to stop by the Council Chambers to listen in.
