School Closings: Anoka-Hennepin, Calvin Christian, Totino-Grace, Al-Amal, Woodcrest Baptist

Other Fridley-area districts aren't reporting closings.

Weather-related closings in the Fridley area Wednesday include Calvin Christian and Totino-Grace high schools, , Woodcrest Baptist Academy and Anoka-Hennepin School District schools.

The Anoka-Hennepin School District has cancelled Wednesday classes due to the that swept into Minnesota Tuesday and dumped snow overnight.

"Due to ice and snow, all schools will be closed Wednesday, Feb 29. All school or district sponsored after school and evening activities will be canceled," a message on the district website reads. "Activities sponsored by organizations using district space are canceled as well."

The Anoka-Hennepin school district includes the northwest corner of the city of Fridley.

's website has a red banner announcing that "Totino-Grace will be closed on Wednesday, February 29."

"School will be closed Wednesday February 29" reads a banner announcement in red letters on the website of  in Fridley. (Not the same as the Spring Lake Park School District's , also located in Fridley.)

As of 7 a.m., the three other Fridley-area school districts do not appear to have cancelled classes, according to postings at designated media outlets:

The Fridley School District posts school closing announcements with KARE11

The Columbia Heights School District website says the the district posts school closing announcements with "KARE-11 TV (Channel 11), WCCO-TV (Channel 4), KSTP-TV (Channel 5), WCCO- AM radio and K102 radio." 

The Spring Lake Park School District website lists several ways the district alerts families: telephone and email alerts, the district website, recorded messages on district and school office phones, and Twin Cities news media outlets.
