Readers' Choice: Fridley's Best Veterinarian

When your four-legged friends get ill, where do you turn in the Fridley area for the best help? Patch wants to know.

Our pets, the old saying goes, are like members of the family.

With one exception: When a dog or cat gets sick, they can't tell you what's wrong. That's why the family veterinarian has become such an important figure in many peoples' lives, offering invaluable advice to keep our four-legged friends happy as long as possible, and when that's no longer possible, at least providing a comfortable departure from this world.

When your best-friend-with-fur gets sick, to whom do you turn? Is there one particular vet in the Fridley area who has brought joy and comfort to you and your loved ones, including those of the furry persuasion?

Nominate your favorite vet in the comments below.

We will take nominations starting this week. Nominations end July 9 and voting will run from July 23 to Aug. 17.

Dr. Roland Hofmeister at the Pet Vet is so compassionate and knowledgeable, and their pet care fees are very reasonable compared to most. 7420 University Avenue NE -- Fridley

I agree with PK. He's like a "dog whisperer".
