When Do We Find Out Who Won the Presidential Election 2012?

Minnesota's voting continues until 8 p.m. Central, but some polls in the East close two hours earlier and could give first clues as to whether Obama or Romney will win.

UPDATE (10:15 p.m.): PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS WON A SECOND TERM. National news networks projected Obama has been re-elected after projecting he won Ohio.

How soon will we get results from the presidential election?

Voters in Fridley and across Minnesota have until 8 p.m. to be in line at polling places to cast their Election 2012 ballots. But voting in other key states ends as long as two hours earlier.

Exit polling from the East Coast could provide an early indication of whether President Obama or Mitt Romney will win the White House.

The most-key state likely to have the earliest results is Virginia, where polls close when clocks strike 6 p.m. in Minnesotal.

Voting ends 30 minutes later in swing states Ohio and North Carolina. At 7 p.m. swing states Florida, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire close their polls.

Nevada and Iowa, which could be pivotal swing states, close voting at 9 p.m.

Really why does Romney wants to be the next president of the United States of America knowing that he never answers no once questions; because every time somebody ask him a quetion, he always brings another subjet that has to do nonething with the question that his been asked.
laura November 07, 2012 at 12:58 AM
Omar learn to write before you comment. Obama hasn't kept any of his promises. He has spent this country into more debt than any other president. He has not earned my trust or respect. ABO (anyone but Obama) is my motto. Additionally Romney has proven he can run successful businesses. We need a fiscally conservative man in office. Not someone who just plays to the polls..."I believe in same sex marriage" oh really when its election time he does...not when he had control of congress and could have done something about it. He's all just lipservice. He needs to go. If this country re~elects him we will plumit to a 3rd world nation.

Laura obama has not did anything but try to fix what bush did I have that people want to say that he aint do this or that when really the senate wouldnt pass anything to help the USA they that other guy gets in and shit gonna get real mf gonna be gone crazy
Natalie November 07, 2012 at 02:10 AM
How fitting that both Obama supporters are seemingly uneducated. Laura....you're absolutely correct!
Brad Johnson November 07, 2012 at 02:23 AM
The grammar used by both Obama supporters explains everything. "obama has not did anything but try to fix what bush did I have that people want to say that he aint do this..." etc. etc. Not only is that gibberish but it shows how sad and uneducated the America we live in has become. God help us all.
Shellie November 07, 2012 at 02:24 AM
It seems Salita doesn't know how to write either. Obama is the master of not answering questions and changing the subject to his liking. Obama "has not did anything?" Are you kidding me? He has caused the rise in healthcare expenses (which he promised would never happen under his administration). So how does Bush play into that? If he thought the country was in such bad shape as to blame Bush for everything then I would like to know how adding $6 Trillion to our deficit helped "fix" anything! Cutting the defense budget isn't just about 1 less Humvee or 1 less gun. It also affects the soldiers and families by way of pay freezes, cuts in family programs, cutting out promotions, forcing early retirement, etc. Obama keeps saying he has a plan to increase jobs, but apparently has no plan to actually impliment it because we are now at a record high unemployment rate. He has made empty promises and continues to disappoint the American people. So, yes you are right. President Obama "has not did anything." That's the problem!! Americans need to learn to educate themselves instead of falling for all the media propaganda. Don't take things at face value and learn to read between the lines. Then go make an educated vote. After 4 years in office it's time to take responsibilty and stop blaming Bush!

Just so you all know no one is right or wrong.
Elizabeth Gardener November 07, 2012 at 02:52 AM
OF COURSE we want Obama in office because we care deeply about the future of America. The true uneducated people of America are those who vote for the person who is of the SAME party of the president who caused this mess in the first place. How can Obama solve a problem that was caused in eight years when he has only had four years? If you voted for Mitt Romney, Congratulations! You have voted a death sentence for our country. And yes! Your precious Bush DID cause the problem. Bush sent us into a war that we did not even belong fighting because the country in question did not even have any weapons of mass destruction! Who got us out of the war and caught Bin Ladden? OBAMA! (And don't forget our soilders, may god bless there souls.) The Republicans cannot even solve the problems they have caused themselves, let alone the ones caused by others.
daniela November 07, 2012 at 02:53 AM
I believe that you Mr. Brad and other Romney supporters are looking at a very stupid thing. Education does matter but let me tell you that you are only looking back if you want Romney to win. Of course because you right well you think that will make it!.. Sorry to hit you this hard but your nuts if you agree with Romney!... I can keep on going but I have to say like a great man once said "you will never be able to convince an idiot into truth" sorry to just hit you like that! Good Night #Obama all the way! .. #the man who cares!
Teresa November 07, 2012 at 03:17 AM
Well said, Elizabeth, and enough said. You nailed it! Go, Obama!
Lauren King November 07, 2012 at 03:32 AM
Dear God, please help us. Romney supporters.... They (Obama supporters) will never understand the meaning of a truly great country. It's too late for us to change their minds. By the way all of you who like Obama, you may think Bush is an awful president. Keep this in mind, he fought two wars in office. He kept you and your families safe. You can cry and moan all you would like about Bush. Obama has borrowed an borrowed untill he can't anymore. If you would pay attention at all to anything going on you would know China and Russia want their money back (Russia has a nuclear attack sub on the east coast). Obama isn't on our side. He is a pinko bastard and he is taking your freedom. Do you really think he will save you when it all goes to shit? How about when he cuts our military to the lowests it's been in decades? You bet your asses China and Russia and their allies come running here for blood. Go Romney! I still believe in you. Prayers for America.
Elisa November 07, 2012 at 03:33 AM
It's funny that people like Romney and at the end of bush no one liked him. Why can't anyone see that he's just like him. He has the stupidest ideAs. I mean what is cutting off fundings for plan parent hood going to do? Also Obama did do something the past four year. Everyone needs to realize the situation he was put in. Romney isn't going to do shit for this country. He was brought up wealthy and only cares about the upper class.
Lauren King November 07, 2012 at 03:38 AM
The upper class give you everything you have. Your cars, your jobs, your electricity....I could go on and on. Cutting planned parenthood would mean tax paying citizens (like myself) wouldn't have to pay for slutty little girls who dont know how to keep their legs closed. And by the way, Romney has donated more money to charity then Obama has given EVER.
katniss everdeen November 07, 2012 at 04:07 AM
Okay here’s my honest opinion: They both will lead out country in bad directions; But Romney will be making America go down hill in dept faster. He is going against all American viewpoint “Everyone is equal” But giving women less. LESS OF EVERYTHING! Why should women not have the legal right of abortion? It’s not a great thing to do but think of this really hard: You are walking home from school, work, or even the store; and a car just is on the side of the road featured as it’s parked. You walk past it and a man grabs you and throws you in the care and drives away. You get raped, and you are now pregnant, and have to come home to a miserable 9 month life during pregnancy. And you love that baby, but you just can’t take care of him/her and you have to put him/her up for adoption. It’s sadder to know your child and give it up, than never know and give it up. We will go in more dept trying to raise “mistaken” children. Women will need to borrow money, all because of that one mistake. Not even the women’s fault.
Elisa November 07, 2012 at 04:22 AM
I didn't know plan parent hood was for sluty little girls please tell me more. Also didn't know that I was voting for my countries leader based on how much money they've given to charity and not based on what they can do for our and the upperclass doesn't give me shit. My parents immigrated here and both of them have their own business and bring in a good amount of money'. Romney was brought up wealthy. So how is he going to know what is best for the middle class?
Nneka November 07, 2012 at 04:34 AM
You guys are idiots if you voted Romney. From a woman's prospective, how can you vote for any man that thinks abortion should not be allowed to female rape victims. He is pro life which also means he doesn't believe in birth control so good luck to keeping those free contraceptives that Obama provided for us.
Michelle Curran November 07, 2012 at 04:39 AM
Daniela: *write not right Sorry Daniela, that totally ruined your point.
Michelle Curran November 07, 2012 at 04:50 AM
Nneka... Nneka... Nneka... You should check your facts, sweetie. Under Romney's official page -oh and he has said this himself- he is against abortion EXCEPT in cases of rape, incest, and harm of the mother. Amen.
Michelle Curran November 07, 2012 at 04:57 AM
Kay Elisa.. do you know that negatively judging Romney just for the fact he's brought up on money is the same as negatively judging someone without money? Its stereotypical. Honey, I've met my fair share of shallow, mindless people. And they all have come from every type of class. And just because your wealthy doesn't mean you have no idea what the rest of society is like.
Shellie November 07, 2012 at 03:34 PM
Bush did not hold a gun to Obama's head and force him to almost double our national debt. Obama did end the war in Iraq. He kept his promise of getting those soldiers out of there, but where do you think they went? Home? Think again, he turned them right around and sent them to Afghanistan where the war still rages on and soldiers are still dying everyday. That's where my husband is right now and it isn't pretty over there. So don't think since there is no war in Iraq then there is peace in the world. I have been a military wife for 19 years. Do not "Bless our soldiers" when it is obviously insincere. You don't have a clue what that man has done to not only the military but their families as well. I know! I have been living it!! If you think HE caught Bin Laden you are sorely mistaken. Navy Seals caught Bin Laden. The same Navy Seals that he allowed to be murdered just a few months ago. Now that Obama is going to be president for the next 4 years, you have proven that you DON'T care about America's future let alone our Fine Military and their families. Give me a break about Obama inheriting a mess. Enough is Enough. When is it time that Obama takes responsibility for his mistakes and stops blaming everybody else. A real man would own up!!
Rob ap November 07, 2012 at 04:51 PM
look what happened last time we have a president that came from money. war an economical disaster. easy to judge 1 man that had to fix another presidents problem. we don't need another presidents thats going to give up on the American people. good luck Obama
Asmara November 07, 2012 at 05:19 PM
Don't say things to people like "learn how to speak before you comment" that is very rude, maybe he isn't an American and doesn't know English very well... That is really ignorant.
