View: East River Road Plan Heads to Last Public Comment Meeting

Two meetings Wednesday at Fridley Community Center.

You are invited to take one last look Wednesday at a draft long-term plan for changes along East River Road to handle an anticipated rise in traffic.

Two meetings on Jan. 18 at the are the last occasions for public comment before the plan goes to the city councils in Fridley and Coon Rapids and the Anoka County Commission for approval.

The meetings (attend either one) will each include a short presentation. Otherwise they are an opportunity for informal time to review the plans and talk to staff working on the project. The meeting schedule:

  • 3–5 p.m. (presentation at 3:30 p.m.)
  • 6–8 p.m. (presentation at 6:30 p.m.)

The geographic boundaries of the project area are from I-694 to Hwy. 610, and from the Mississippi River to University Avenue NE, including parts of both Fridley and Coon Rapids.

Earlier meetings, including gatherings in Fridley and , have drawn considerable interest from residents.
