Suspicious Activity Was Realtor Showing House: Fridley Police Blotter

You know the real estate market isn't what it should be when a showing at a house that is for sale prompts a suspicious-activity call to police.

In fairness, the Dec. 1 incident occurred at 6:26 p.m., so it was dark. The person making the report said two vehicles arrived at a house in the 5800 block of Sixth Street NE. The vehicles' occupants got out and started walking around the house with flashlights.

Police dispatched to the scene discovered a real estate agent and prospective buyers.

Nov. 30, 2011

• 7:45 a.m. An officer took a report from a complainant on Logan Parkway NE who said that someone stole two checks from her mailbox on Nov. 24, with one of the checks having been cashed.
• 12:30 p.m. An officer located a stolen leaf blower at Pawn America. 

Dec. 1, 2011

• 1:47 a.m. An officer on patrol discovered that someone had broken into the vacant Baggan's Pub building, 3720 E. River Rd., where police found substantial damage and property loss. 
• 4:51 p.m. An officer removed four bags of leaves that were blocking the roadway in the 7000 block of Highway 65.

In all incidents where an arrest occurred, a charge is merely an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. The arrested person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
