Pedestrians who want to cross Highway 65 in Spring Lake Park will have to seek an alternate route as crews extend the closure of the pedestrian bridge at 80th Avenue Northeast, according to a Minnesota Department of Revenue press release.
The pedestrian bridge will remain closed as crews continue renovating the bridge and making pedestrian accessibility upgrades.
The bridge is scheduled to re-open in mid-September.
Pedestrians are advised to use 81st Avenue Northeast to cross Highway 65.
In addition, residents living near the bridge may encounter construction activity during the day as crews work toward the completion of the project.
