6 Candidates Vie for 3 Seats on Spring Lake Park School Board

Voters in District 16 that includes part of Fridley will cast ballots Tuesday.

Fridley residents will vote Tuesday for school board members in three districts, but in only one district—Spring Lake Park (District 16)—are there more candidates than seats up for election.

In the Fridley School District there are three candidates for three seats, and in Fridley's part of the Anoka-Hennepin School District the incumbent, Scott Wenzel, is running unopposed.

But six candidates are running for three seats in the Spring Lake Park district, which includes an area of northern Fridley. See candidate information sheets from all six in the PDFs attached to this post.

Five of the candidates participated in a candidate forum Oct. 24 at District 16 headquarters. You can see their responses to questions at the forum in the video attached to this post. (Written responses from one candidate, Bryan Reynolds, who was unable to attend the forum, are attached to this post as a PDF).
