Next time you experience serious rush-hour traffic in and around Fridley, you've got a number to explain why.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, a new report by the U.S. Census Bureau named Fridley the ninth-biggest "job magnet" in the Twin Cities. Fridley's population sees a 42 percent daily net gain from commuting, the newspaper reported, while bedroom communities such as Mounds View and Andover lose population during the workday.

The data comes from the American Community Survey, which samples 250,000 households every month and uses sophisticated analysis techniques to extrapolate those results into community-wide trends.
