Recycle Dropoff for Fridley Residents on Saturday

The event is open to Fridley residents at the Public Works Garage from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

It's time for the City of Fridley's fall recycling dropoff event. Fridley residents with proof of residency may bring items to be recycled to the city's public works garage from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011. Be ready to pay fees listed below with exact cash or check. 

Here is the list of items you can bring to the dropoff:

  • Major appliances. Two free ($5 each additional). Includes stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washers, dryers, air conditioners, water heaters and water softeners. Please pack these items first.
  • Electronics. Three free (price varies each additional). Includes televisions, monitors, CRTs and hard drives ($10 each); printers, laptops, speakers, VCR and DVD players, stereos, vacuums ($5 each); and circuit boards, keyboards, mouses, cell phones, hand-held games (free. )
  • Small engines. Free. Drain all fluids. Includes lawn mowers, snow blowers and air compressors.
  • Scrap metal. Free. Includes items made of 100 percent metal, such as fencing, shelving, gutters and door frames.
  • Bicycles. Free. Includes all types.
  • Tires. Four free ($5 each additional, $2 each rim).
  • Fluorescent four-foot or eight-foot tubes, circular and compact (CFL). Ten free.
  • Batteries. Free. Includes batteries from vehicles, lawnmowers or rechargeable items. Please pack batteries last as they will be unloaded first.
