READ: Fridley Council to Take Up Church Sign, TIF District

The Fridley City Council will hold a public hearing on creating a new TIF district and consider a new digital sign for a Fridley church at the council's regular meeting Monday. (Read the full agenda online here or see the shorter version below.)

is seeking a special use permit for an 80 square-foot sign on Highway 65, with a 40 square-foot changeable text area. 

The council will also hold a public hearing on whether to create a new TIF district at the East River Road industrial site that's now home to BAE Systems. Real Estate Recycling has announced plans to redevelop the property as a business park.

The council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday at . A pre-meeting, also open to the public, is set for 6:30 p.m. (half an hour earlier than usual). The regular meeting is shown live on cable channel 17 and again throughout the week. You can also watch archived video online.
