Pam Wolf Not in Running for Senate Majority Leader

The first-term Republican, who represents part of Fridley, won't try to replace Amy Koch.

In the turmoil at the top of the Republican Party of Minnesota, one thing is for sure: Sen. Pam Wolf won't be the state's second female Senate majority leader.

Wolf (R-50), who represents central and eastern Fridley, said in an interview over the weekend that she's not a candidate to replace Sen. Amy Koch, who last week.

"I'm not going to throw my hat in that ring," Wolf said. "We have 36 people in the [GOP caucus]. We do not have 36 people who want that role."

Wold said she expected to start hearing who from the caucus is interested in taking Koch's place on Monday. The caucus must choose a new leader by Dec. 29.

Wolf had no comment on . "There are not enough details out there yet that I can really comment," she said.
