Over 2 Nights, 3 Vehicles Tagged for Parking on Street

Fridley bans on-street parking from 2–6 a.m., Nov. 1–April 1.

The City of Fridley is reminding residents and visitors that the city's winter parking restrictions are in effect every day from Nov. 1 to April 1: No parking on the street from 2 to 6 a.m. There are no snow emergency declarations in Fridley. 

"We issued three citations for violation of the no parking 2–6 a.m. ordinance over the past two days," Fridley Police Lt. Mike Monsrud said by email Thursday.

A left . But then the snowiest nights aren't usually the problem, according to police.

"We don’t find very many people violating the ordinance immediately after a snow event," Monsrud said. 

On other nights when there hasn't been snow, people are more likely to forget that winter parking restricting are in effect.
