Germany Trip Kept Tillberry Away from Special Session

His absence, like five others', was excused.

State Rep. Tom Tillberry (DFL-51B) missed the Tuesday and early Wednesday because he is in on a trip to Germany related to a student-exchange program.

That's the word from Dianne Ruppert, Tillberry's legislative aide, who said he will return later this week. He left at the beginning of the month, she said.

Ruppert said that with the state-government, it seemed that a special session would likely come after Tillberry's return.

Tillberry, who lives in Fridley, was one of six state representatives .

I am disappointed with the agreement, but getting people back to work is what we need to do?  I will have to look at the bill before I decide if I can vote for it.

How would he have voted on the budget bills before the legislature this week? Ruppert said he probably would have vote "No."
