Fridley Proclamations: AFS Student and Domestic Violence Awareness

A student from Peru and a week to become more aware of domestic violence.

Here are two proclamations from last week's Fridley City Council meeting.

Fridley Mayor Welcomes AFS Student
Scott Lund, Fridley’s mayor, proclaimed this week Student Foreign Exchange Week, welcomed American Field Service exchange student Jose Maldonado and declared him an honorary citizen of the city during the Sept. 19 Fridley City Council meeting.

Maldonado attends in Fridley where he is a junior. He is from Peru and lives with host parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Maxwell, in the north metro.
