Fridley Mayor, Senator Sleep on Roof for Mental Health

Bob's Produce Ranch hosted the event to raise $4,000 for the Lee Carlson Center.

Fridley Mayor Scott Lund and state Sen. Barb Goodwin were set to spend a chilly night in a tent on the roof of at University Avenue NE and Osborne Road Friday to raise funds for the , a Fridley nonprofit agency.

For more than 30 years, the mental-health center has provided prevention and early intervention programs to schools, serving for more than 10 years.

Last year the center helped more than 4,500 individuals and families struggling with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues.
