Fridley 49er Days Festival Will Move to Moon Plaza in 2012
The classic strip mall will host Fridley's annual summer celebration.
Fridley's summer 49er Days festival will move to a more visible location in 2012: the Moon Plaza commercial mall.
The dates of the event are June 21–23, 2012.
Activities that have been nestled almost out of view at Commons Park will take place within sight of thousands of people who drive past on University Avenue NE, according to Sue Johnson of the Fridley Parks and Recreation Department (who designed the moon-themed button above).

Many details about the festival at its new location haven't been decided yet, Johnson said, but some may be ironed out at the 49er Days Committee meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the .
